With more than 20 years of nonprofit development and executive leadership experience, Liz has earned a reputation for creating tailored, results-oriented development plans that not only meet but consistently exceed revenue goals. She is passionate about helping organizations build a donor-centric culture of philanthropy that strengthens relationships and ensures mission success well into the future.

Liz’s expertise spans strategic fundraising planning, budget forecasting, board and donor engagement, and multi-year development strategy design. She has guided organizations in building comprehensive campaigns, establishing reliable revenue streams, and crafting stewardship practices that foster deeper donor loyalty. Her ability to analyze complex challenges and develop clear, actionable strategies has made her a trusted partner for nonprofits seeking both immediate results and sustainable growth.

Her entrepreneurial background further enriches her consulting approach. Having co-founded and operated a successful skateboarding business with her brother, a professional skateboarder and Olympic-certified coach, Liz understands what it takes to innovate, scale, and thrive in competitive environments. Today, she brings that same spirit of vision and strategy to her consulting work, equipping nonprofits with the tools, systems, and forward-focused plans they need to expand their impact and build a sustainable future.

Susan Owens, MA

Susan Owens brings over 45 years of experience in education and nonprofit leadership to Prolific Nonprofit Consulting. She holds a BA in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and an MA in Administration from Cardinal Stritch University, both in Milwaukee, WI. Now residing in Long Beach, CA, Susan continues her lifelong commitment to supporting students, strengthening communities, and advancing philanthropy through education and nonprofit initiatives.

During her tenure with Milwaukee Public Schools, Susan played a key role in securing successful grant funding and leading initiatives that enhanced educational opportunities for students. Beyond her work locally, she has applied her fundraising expertise to support orphanages in Uganda, demonstrating a commitment to global impact.

Now retired for 23 years, Susan has focused on consulting in the education and nonprofit sectors. Her extensive leadership and management experience makes her an invaluable member of our team, helping organizations develop practical, actionable plans. Susan’s depth of knowledge enables nonprofits to strengthen fundraising strategies, cultivate donor-centric cultures, and build sustainable programs that drive meaningful, lasting impact.

Ashlynn Adams, MA

Charlotte, NC

Based in Charlotte, NC, Ashlynn Adams brings a passion for education and nonprofit service to Prolific Nonprofit Consulting. A dedicated 3rd-grade teacher with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Ashlynn combines her classroom expertise with over a decade of volunteer experience in the nonprofit sector, helping to fundraise for meal programs, food pantries, and educational initiatives.

Ashlynn is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University (Bachelor’s degree) and Walden University (Master’s in Education), and she leverages her academic and professional experience to guide nonprofits in building sustainable fundraising strategies. Her hands-on experience in organizing successful campaigns and cultivating donor support allows her to help organizations create practical, results-driven plans.
